#3 – New Heaven Café

Our number 3 pick has a relaxed atmosphere and good ambiance.  It is right on the promenade off of Sairee Beach. We found it to be quiet and inviting with spacious tables to sit and read, write or talk
with friends.  WiFi is free and easy to connect to.  The service was good and menu offered many choices.  You can order a lovely cappuccino for the fair price of 70 Baht or they offer a full breakfast and lunch
menu.

We ordered a BLT on a baguette at the New Heaven Cafe for 100 Baht. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp and there was plenty of bacon. We felt it was a great value for a yummy sandwich. This Cafe also offers a variety of other sandwiches or Thai dishes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#2 – Morning View Coffee and Bakery

Our number 2 favorite coffee shop surprised and delighted us.  It is located on the main road across from the Simple Life Resort. We stumbled in out of the rain and were greeted at the door.  In fact, one of the staff rushed over and held the door open.  It’s very small and cozy inside. You can either sit at a table or order at the counter.  We ordered an apple juice (40 Baht), iced café latte (80 Baht), and a croissant (35 Baht).  We were pleasantly surprised to find the juice was amazingly fresh, probably made same day. The iced café latte was excellent with a delicious deep roast flavor.  We will definitely make another stop for the superb juice and coffee.

 

 

#1 – Coconut Monkey Beach Café and Bar

Far and above the rest, Coconut Monkey is our number 1 favorite coffee shop on the island of Koh Tao.  This shop is located south of the pier, across from Master Diver dive shop. They really have it all; ambiance, healthy and delicious food and drinks, and friendly staff. The menu offers a variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack options including wraps, smoothies, homemade yogurt and granola, and chicken or tofu satay.  The amazeballs are truly amazing coming in flavors like peanut butter chocolate, yum! At night the kitchen shuts down and the little beach front bar opens. What a view! They also have a stash of games that make this cafe an ideal stop for kids. There is so much charm and tastiness going on in this place it easily made our #1 favorite coffee shop café on Koh Tao.
